What is a Bike/Walk Audit?

A walk/bike audit is a community safety review of a street corridor.

Participants walk or bike together along the corridor to identify:

  • Safety concerns
  • Opportunities for improvement
  • Barriers for people walking, biking, or using mobility devices

Feedback gathered during the audit helps guide future design concepts for the street.

What Happens After the Audit?

  1. Identify safety issues and opportunities
  2. Develop and evaluate possible roadway striping concepts
  3. Share those concepts with the public for feedback
  4. Select a preferred design for implementation in 2027
